Go- to Summer Skincare: Healthy, Fresh Skin

Good skincare is a must. Whether you're 19, or 79, taking care of your skin is something you should strive to do routinely. Healthy, clean skin is important because it can not only boost your mood, but creates a great base for makeup and leaves skin looking young as you age.

The first thing I do before cleansing my face is removing my makeup with a makeup wipe. Since I have sensitive, mixed skin, I try to use a wipe that isn't too harsh but still gets off all of my makeup (including stubborn mascara!). I just finished this pack of Simple Sensitive Skin Experts radiance cleansing wipes and have to say I really like them! They didn't overdry or irritate my skin, but still removed my makeup. Will be repurchasing.

As I have mentioned above, I've dealt with breakouts for quite a while. Last spring, I was recommended by a friend to try out the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash with 2% salicylic acid. I switch back and forth between the CVS brand because it is a little bit cheaper, and contains the same exact ingredients. Every night, I pour a little of this product on a loofah and rub it over my body.

I'm including this Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub because I have been using it for about three years now! I like to use it on my body whenever I want a gentle exfoliation, or before/ after I shave to remove dead skin and help pull out any hairs.

Lastly, I moisturize my face every time after cleansing it. I love this Aveeno moisturizer because it contains SPF 15 which is an everyday ESSENTIAL in maintaining healthy, young skin as you age.

I don't apply eye cream every day, but if I notice I my skin needing it I'll apply some. I pat the Neutrogena Healthy Skin eye cream to add some extra moisture back into my eyes when I need some hydration. And the Garnier Ultra- Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream when I need something to aid in de- puffing and hydrating my under eyes.

If you've made it this far, thank you for reading my very first blog post on The Blonde Curls! Feel free to comment or shoot me a message, I'd love to hear from you!

xx- Ashley
